Support got back to me very promptly, thank you. Their response was along the lines of your reply.

They suggested that I run a demo of Dtouch alongside the NI Kontrol, which I will as soon as the keyboard arrives!

As I previously said, the new DTouch "lite" mode should be powerful enough for 90% of the users, without causing interferences with the NI Kontrol.

I have no active plans to buy one of these, so we'll see. I might wait long enough for a mk2 version, or end up not buying one at all.
For now, my Nord works fine as a master keyboard.
I'll get in touch if I get 'close' to buying one!

thanks to the help of Dean, we can confirm that DTouch for Cubase is compatible with the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S-Series.
This is a good news!
