I get flashing/flickering mouse cursor if dtouch is running. Is this normal? Can this be fixed?
Win 10, pt 12.8.2, Intel graphics 6-series.
Thanks

Hello,
I don't know the exactly behavior in your case, but when using the touchscreen is perfect normal for mouse cursor to auto hide.
Check the video driver, maybe try DTouch on another monitor. Anyway, you can always contact support@deviltechnologies.com they provides a great support.

Mmm, I would say that it isn't normal, but it is difficult to understand the level and cause of this flickering.
You should try to shot a video (the camera of the moderrn smartphones is more than sufficient) and send it to support@deviltechnologies.com (or use the most common filetransfer services).
Thank you.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
Re: Flashing/flickering mouse cursor
Yes, I will.
Re: Flashing/flickering mouse cursor
I've seen the same thing on Windows 8.1 . Doesn't hurt anything as far as i can tell, but it's noticeable.
I'll shoot a video too and will send it to support.

Re: Flashing/flickering mouse cursor
Hello, in the following you can find the answer by our development team regarding this issue:
***********************
... we already know this: it is the pixels readback function used by DTouch to capture the content of some areas of the Pro Tools GUI. This function is triggered by a timer and it is only active when DTouch is running.
... we think that it is impossible to fix it. We already know this problem from a lot of time, but it is physiological in the pixels color readback function.
We will check if this is present in all our PCs.
This function temporarily stops the actions of the GPU to read the framebuffer. Maybe that one GPU is better than another, but ... who can say?
... we cannot recode DTouch because the pixels readback function is a fundamental tool for DTouch for Pro Tools.
We can only tell that we have the same problem and there is no sure fix for it.
