Well I wanna buy a "large" touch screen, 42' iiYama and I have two option but different price !
42' iiYama infrared for 1380€ :

or
42' iiYama capacitive for 1780€ :

the PQ labs system is infrared, right ? cause 400€ more for capacitive is a "little" expensive, is infrared touch system good for DTouch ?
(I have two iiYama 27' capacitive already : T2735MSC-B2 )
Thank you.

is infrared touch system good for DTouch ?
Yes of course, but infrared technology has bezel... so you lose some space.
PS: I have the capacitive model from iiyama and is working great.

According to the specs, the capacitive screen has 4ms response time, vs 9ms for the infrared.
But more importantly, which is supported by DTouch?
Also, why not consider a PQ Labs G5S frame and a good LED TV of your choice?

Because dedicated monitors are made specifically for close work, more than TV. In conclusion more healthy for your eyes.

And with infrared tech (like PQ Labs) iiyama is about the same price for a 42´ system and I can't find a 46´ TV format in France.....

My PERSONAL opinions (I have never tested a large size 42"-46" Capacitive Touchscreen!):
1) I like the projected capacitive flat (no-bezel) glass.
2) I like my 27" capacitive touchmonitors.
3) In my opinion the 6 and 9 ms figures are related to the optoelectronic response-time of the LCD panels, not to the touchscreen sensor. This should be double-checked with Iiyama. Anyway, to be honest, even if they were touch-response-time, I see no difference between 6 and 9 ms.
4) 42" Vs 46": I think that 42" is a perfect fit. In my opinion 46" is too large.
Don't think that the 46" in the Slate Raven is the "perfect" size. Slate is not equal to "PERFECTION" (neither DT)!
Maybe that they have taken the 46" decision for a million other commercial reasons (market availability of the LCD Panel, Price, etc ...).
"Home Studio 87", try to change the virtual resolution of one of your 27" touchscreens in Windows (don't start DTouch!) to approximately match the DPI value of a 42" and 46". Then start Cubase and open your preferred plug-ins. You will have an idea of the best DPI value for a comfortable touch experience.
5) Both the Iiyama models can work with DTouch. I see no impediments: they declare that both are Win7/8/10 HID compatible (better to double check with the Iiyama customer support) and they both have a 1920x1080 native resolution.
6) DIY Vs. Iiyama: I think that the mechanics is a very very important aspect. The Iiyama are surely built with high-quality standards. DIY ... it depends on your ability, but you cannot do miracles! For sure the aesthetics of the Iiyama will be a lot better.
And remember one important point: usually, during the manufacturing of a touchmonitor, the glass (the sensor) is "glued" to the LCD panel in a clean-room to avoid dust deposit and the gluing is dust-proof hermetic. You cannot do this at home.
And I don't know if Iiyama use the optical bonding; in that case the result would be even more better.
7) I haven't tested the 42" Projected Capacitive Iiyama, so I cannot say anything about the speed. It seems that we must trust the "Constantine" opinion regarding the response time of this model.
