Dtouch displays, Softube Console 1, graphics card

PC, Cubase, Win7-64, Asus X99 mobo
1. Am I correct in saying that a solid, proven turn-key recommendation would be an Iiyama ProLite 42" ? And choosing the Iiyama eliminates the DIY glass, framing, etc required with an LED TV+PQ Labs screen solution, correct ?
Any other absolutely proven setups I should consider?
I am located in the US.
2. What are the graphics card requirements/recommendations ?
3. Any conflicts with the Softube Console 1? (The user guide does NOT state that it uses Mackie HUI protocol)
Thanks all, looking forward to building my setup.

On number 3:
No problems running Console 1 and Dtouch at the same time. Both use completly different ways of interacting with your DAW.
cheers,
mathias

Mmm, wait a moment ... this is not correct.
n0nspaz: can you contact
support@deviltechnologies.com? If you own the "Console 1", we can instruct you to perform some test to check a potential conflict between DTouch and Console 1.

Can you check if you can purchase the iiyama touchmonitor in the US? Unfortunately, I know that iiyama is not very well represented in the States.
No particular requirements for the graphic card!

I am not sure, but 3M could have something. Anyway, they are not cheap!

This is what I have found out about 42" options for US residents:
- Iiyama 5044733000 ProLite LH4265S-B1 106.7cm/42 Klasse LED-Display Digital EUR1002 US $1,096.89 ebay
- 3M™ 42" Multi-Touch Display C4267PW Native Resolution: 1920 x 1080 $3,266.94 list
- I have inquired about pricing & availability of the PQ Labs G4S 'Basic' (6-touchpoint) overlay in the US
note- I read here on the forum that the IIyamas have 6-9ms response time. The response time of the PQ Labs does not seem to be published in the datasheet.
EDIT: reply from PQ:
Thank you for contacting PQ Labs,
All of our overlays work with Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10. The response time of our overlays is between 7-12ms.

My 42" iiyama ProLite (TF4237MSC) has 6ms response time. Working flawlessly under win7 64bit and win10 64bit. Anyway, if you have the money, 3M™ is a very good brand. I'm looking forward to read about the progress with your setup.
Best Regards,
Constantine

If the online infos are correct, this model is a display only, not a touchscreen.

Eh, I told you that they are not cheap!

PQ Labs declares a sensor "scan rate" of 200-250Hz; this doesn't translate in a 1/200 s or 1/250 s response-time (like declared by Slate MT), because scan frequency is only partially related to the response-time (I could be more detailed about this, if you want). Like saying that a 48 KHz audio interface has an audio latency of 1/48000 s (0.02 ms
).
Anyway I think that 10-20 ms response time is a great performance figure.

reply from PQ Labs :
For pro audio installations, I would recommend giving some thought to our G5 line of overlays. The G5 has a higher touch resolution and faster refresh rate when compared to our G4 series. This results in more accurate, faster, and smoother touch response from the overlay.
You would benefit from the G5 series for more accurate and precise adjustment of sliders or knobs. This is due to the higher touch resolution of our G5 series and faster refresh rate.
For TV display, some recommendations are: A 16:9 aspect ratio, minimum ½ inch bezel, and no buttons or speakers on the front of the bezel.
