two external controllers

Hi,
a (hopefully) new user here.
DTouch for Pro Tools on Win10.
I use Quiet Arts Waverider plug in that works fine as a generic HUI 8fader.
Does anybody of you know if it is possible to use an additional pysical controller besides Waverider?
I suppose it won´t work with a Faderport, as you can not select two types of controllers, right?
FYI I don´t have a physical controller yet, just thinking about getting one.
