I just ordered this arm for my Iiyama t27.

I'll let you know how it goes, but I think it's going to be great.
Especially for a multi instrumentalist like myself.

Check out this the review by a visual artist:

I can't get over you can buy an Iiyama T27, DTouch and this arm for about the same or LESS than a Raven MTi2.
And you won't have to wait MONTHS to get your Raven either...

win-win if you ask me :)

Thanks for the heads up on that stand, looks exactly what I'm looking for - I'd be very interested to hear how you get on with it.

cool. It should come in tomorrow.
I haven't finished my studio furniture yet so it'll be attached a an ikea desk for now.
I think Imma need to weight that sucker down for it to be stable.

I'm looking forward to the user experience though :)

I'll be sure to do a little video.

Cool. I'd be very interested to see if it's possible to position it in such a way it doesn't get in the way of a 2nd (non touch) monitor placed somewhere behind the main on the stand.

Thanks for that!

As I was afraid, it looks as though the first section of the arm (right behind the monitor) will make it really awkward if you have a 2nd monitor positioned behind.

I don't use my touchscreen at anything like the angle you have yours at because of the 2nd monitor behind. Not sure I could bear to go back to 1 monitor! ;)

Could you explain your proposed setup a bit better?

For instance, you could add a second (possibly shorter) arm to the vertical pole they are attached to.
That way, you could probably have a Waves LV1 type of arrangement, which I'm personally interested in.

like this maybe: http://www.ergotron.com/ProductsDetails ... fault.aspx

Check ergotron's website for all the possibilities.

Currently I have my 2nd (non touch) monitor on a traditional upright stand at the back of my main workspace.

As I'm now doing a lot more MIDI composition in my projects I'm after a moveable stand for the touchscreen that will allow me to have a computer keyboard & midi controller keyboard like you have in your video but still retain viewing of the 2nd vertical monitor. It looks like that the 1st section of the Ergotron would block that view.

I have my current setup with the touchscreen a lot flatter than you have as obviously you don't have a 2nd monitor behind so the size of the Ergotron arm isn't an issue.

Ok well if I understand correctly, there's several things you can do:

1. The vertical pole, the arm(s) is/are mounted on can be a shorter one.
2. The vertical pole, the arm(s) is/are mounted on can be bolted/clamped onto a lower base, effectively getting much of the arm out of the way.
3. If you do not need the FULL potential (84cm/33") of drawing the touch monitor closer towards you, you could even mount that pole to the side, in stead of the center like I have. This would get most of the 'meat' of the arm out of the way, potentially making it a solution to you.

If you want, we could skype and I'll get a ruler out to measure if it can do what you want. Of course, you could also get in touch with ergotron, tell them exactly what you do and don't need, and they'll probably be able to pick the right product for you.

Just snd me a PM if you want.

Hey, thanks for the offer! I don't think the problem is the vertical pole, it's the bulk of the arm that's right behind the monitor when it's positioned in a more flat position. As you say, positioning the pole further to the side would help I guess.
