Hey!
Will try this when have the spare time. Thanks!

Can these macros be duplicated, renamed and thus made to different workspaces to different situations?

Bye / Tumppi
Yes, you can duplicate, rename, re-edit and save.

Code: Select all
# DTouch Floating Mixer number to open
floating_mixer_nr = 1
How can I Open 2 floating mixer at the same time ? :?
Read the code of the following lines in the macro and you will find the command to open the floating mixer. You can open more than one. But you must edit the macro according to your needs. Are you able? If not, we can help you. Anyway, is is not difficult.

Hi!
Got it to work. Even tho it took some time from my after work tired brains. Few wrongly spelled words and so on...

Will later study further possibilities.

Thanks Tumppi

Solved... I've made some macros of multiple macros (cause I must open the macros folder in a certain order to be in the right place due to the scaling I've made in windows for my two 27' touch at 125%) and that's work !!!! Genious 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Just an idea: what if you would prepare kind of nearly ready packages.
Like if you want workspace with float mixer, two macro folders (empty) and panner, you could load this package and just tweak it a little to make it work for you. Another package for a dufferent setup and so on...
That would almost make the loss of intergrated mixer meaningless...

What do you mean with "ready packages"?
Do you mean pre-written macros or something else?

Ready workspace setups with different sets of stuff opening.
-float with 2 macrofolders and channel editos
- float with 1 macrofolder, panner
-float with 1 macrofolder
Etc...

One could pick up the ones that suit the hus/hers needs, place them as desired, customize rows and columns etc.
Would be pretty easy setting up...

We could pre-write some macros (even if I don't understand the sense; why not start from an example and write your own?), but, if you think that we could build an object container (a window where you can "import" your preferred GUI elements), I can tell that it will very far in the future.
Why? Too complex!
You will ask: "why not some preconfigured GUI winwdos?". Because nor 1 nor 100 will fit the needs of all the users. For example, you want to leave the area for the channel editor. Not everybody want it. And, you want a channel editor without the master fader ... others need it; you don't need the direct routing ... other wants it ... etc ... etc ...
1 fader , 2 faders, 8 ... 24 ... sends, matrix, macro-buttons ... etc ... etc ...

So, in my opinion the current multi-windows DTouch GUI is the only one with the highest freedom. We will include a function to immediately and easily "capture" a layout and its sister function to recall the layouts.
I know: the multi-window GUI waste a lot of space for windows title, buttons for moving and closing it, but I have no other ideas at the moment.

Hi!
I do understand.
But just like you have with legacy mode you give us these options whats visible.
You could offer the same with these macro folders etc, but with a bonus, customer could start from one setup and customize it further to suit the needs this customer has.
Easy to start and when things and needs evolve, workspace could be evolved also.
Maybe with a single dtouch button:update workspace...
