Acer T272HUL with DTouch for Cubase Pro 9.5

Post by omniphonix » 17 Sep 2018 21:20

Hi, I registered to this forum to get some clarity on this compatibility issue. I am considering getting a touch screen display and DTouch for Cubase. Reading the product page it shows the following:
Cubase Pro 9.5
DTouch LEGACY Mode is not available for this Cubase version

The main touchmonitor must have a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. This requirement is needed only when DTouch is started in LEGACY Mode. No requirements are needed when DTouch is started in STANDARD Mode.

Currently, DTouch support the following officially tested touchmonitors:

- Acer T272HL (WARNING: the Acer T272HUL DOES NOT WORK!)
So am I to understand that Acer T272HUL (the primary display I am interested in) does not work with DTouch on Cubase Pro 9.5 or that it only does not work in Legacy mode?

Hello!
I understand your confusion, but I hope to be of help now:

the constraints on the touchmonitor resolution are valid ONLY for the "Legacy Mode".
With the "Standard Mode" you have NO CONSTRAINTS on the touchmonitor resolution.

So, to resume:
you are interested on Cubase Pro 9.5 >>> then you can ONLY use the "Standard Mode" >>> then you are FREE to use your preferred touchmonitor (Acer T272HUL).

I have only a minor doubt about the operating system; what do you plan to use? Win7 or Win10?
