Sample Editor OPEN

Maybe I’m missing it, but I cannot locate an existing button, Cubase Key Command, or macro statement that will “Open the Sample Editor”. I am looking for the floating Cubase Sample Editor (Audio > Sample Editor) and not the one at the bottom of the Project Window. Also could not find any forum topic here in Cubase Macro. Does it exist?

I can open the sample editor from Cubase and set the preferences.
What I cannot do is open the editor from DTouch. Is there a macro statement or DT button to accomplish that task?

My edit instrument key command button opens the sample editor.
Thanks Havoc911, but all I can find is “Edit / VST Instrument” which opens the instrument. What I want to do is open an audio event in the Sample Editor so that I can edit it.
Anyone from DT Support that can help out here?

you're right, I've made a shortcut to open the sample editor (Editor - Open/close sample editor) in Cubase, then in DTouch, I've made a little macros (with the Cubase shortcut) to open the sample editor in DTouch.... Voila......

Thanks Home Studio 87, I ended up solving similarly with a keyboard shortcut (CTRL-ALT-0) and created a macro button to execute the shortcut. What I don’t get is that there already is a DT macro statement/Cubase key command for EVERY editor except that one...
...why?

Sorry for the confusion. When you said sample editor I thought you meant the sampler track editor and not an audio event. There's a generic key command called open/close editor which will toggle any editor for the selected event whether it's audio or MIDI. I find it very handy.

Thanks Havoc, I thought that I tried that key command, but maybe not. I will try it later today..
Thanks again!

Hello!
Please, wait till tomorrow for a new version of DTouch with some improvements, including this command.
