Floating Mixer Bank?

I tried the new version of DTouch for Pro Tools on OSX, and really like the floating fader on the Edit window.

That got me thinking.

Would it be easy now to do that for a bank of faders? Say 16, or at least 8?

And, would it be possible to turn that into a standalone product that could more easily support other DAW's that may otherwise never see the light of a multitouch day?

Mixbus, for instance, could really do nicely to have a bank of multitouch faders.

Yes, it can be done, but to avoid some user's headaches it should have two fixed sizes: 1 or 32 tracks (user selectable).
