At the bottom or in an upper section?
At the bottom it will change the standard structure of the Floating Mixer (DT-FM); at the top of the faders, it will be more integrated in the concept of a more modular DT-FM (which will be the evolution of the current DT-FM).

As long as transport buttons are user option I'm fine as I don't wan't/need them. I use keyboard for it.

With the channel editor being the primary place for displaying and editing stuff, I can't think of too much to add that wouldn't be redundant.
Transport controls
Marker functions (add and go to)
Something like a jog button which can be used to navigate and set loop or in/out points
I'll see if I can come up with other stuff as I'm working on a project today.

Yes for the first image (not exactly like that but very similar).
No for the second (those windows are not of DTouch!).
We will check tomorrow for the new Cubase.
