Some may find this macro useful. When I'm playing big fat ensemble chords to layer in with my legato strings it looks a mess and sometimes you can get less-than-smooth transitions with the sustain data in there. I almost always delete the sustain data and extend the notes to the next measure. This can get time consuming and so I created a macro to do it for me. It will delete CC64, change the quantize preset to 1/1 and then run a quantize ends command with one keystroke.
You'll need to run the MIDI logical editor and set up the following preset:
Type is>Equal>Controller and
MIDI Controller No.> Equal> CC64
Function: Delete
Name it Delete Sustain and store it. Then use the attached macro.
Hopefully this saves someone else some time.
Delete sustain and quantize ends
