Macro to open floating mixer, channel editor and one macro folder?
Macro to open floating mixer, channel editor and one macro folder?
Hi!
Is it possible to make a macro that when opening the floating mixer it automatically opens also channel editor of the currently chosen track/channel and one (or more) predefined macro folder?
The reason for this macro and its goal: I use just one touch screen (for now anyway) and would like to -by hitting just one button- to open the Floating mixer, the channel editor of the currently selected track and one customized macro folder. This way -with floating mixer- I could get back most of the functionality that is/was lost with "legacy" mode...

So I guess by the lack of responses this not doable.
This would be nice feature tho. One could design a ”private” intergreated mixer.

OK, the two macros (for Cubase and Nuendo) are here. You must install the very last version of DTouch (check now on our web-site).
I don't know if this macro does what you need; report here your thinking.

Re: Macro to open floating mixer, channel editor and one macro folder?
Hi!
It opens all things I wanted in one go. But (there's always a but): I wan't to close the same windows and macro folders also with the same button. Or another button. But I don't wan't to close them by hand one by one. Doable?
Also this idea of mine seems to be "a work in progress" I guess, as I bumbed into a problem: Because all DTouch macro folders and floating mixer are always on top, every plug in that I open goes partially under them.
My main goal is to be able to make my own custom made workspace that functions very much like the integrated mixer did...
Also: If I Stretch the floating mixer to fill the whole width of the screen then the next time I open it it is no longer where it was (on the bottom of the screen) but jumps to the center of the screen.
I've attached three pictures that show the problems. Is these problems fixable?

Re: Macro to open floating mixer, channel editor and one macro folder?
if you touch "top most" on the left of the floating mixer it doesn´t stay on top, maybe that helps, I think folders and the dtouch bar cannot be set to go underneath other windows, only the floating mixer?

Re: Macro to open floating mixer, channel editor and one macro folder?
Tried.
A bit too complicated IMO... Too much tapping:
-first hit this macro button with folders topmost selected. The chosen macro folders and channel settings window pop open on top of everything. But Floating mixer pops under Nuendo project window.
-Then tap Folders top most "off"
-Then tap some part that is visual from the floating mixer to make it jump on top.
-Then I can open a plugin gui that is on top of everything.
----------------
I wish it could be possible and simple to make a DTouch workspace that I could open and close over either project or mix window and have all macro folders and floating mixer "on top" except if I open a plugin interface (or what ever new window). This new window would be on top on everything else.
Kind of three layers:
- first layer: under everything -> Nuendo window.
- Then second layer: "DTouchworkspace". Over Nuendo.
- Then third layer if any new window (like a plugin gui) is opened: that new window would be over DTouch workspace and Nuendo project or mix window.
That would be perfect I think. A kind of new workspace functionality that would compensate pretty well the loss of the intergrated mixer.
I hope I am able to put this in english so I make some sense.
