Add track macros

Post by Havoc911 » 24 Apr 2018 15:43

Is there a way to write a macro to easily add instrument tracks with specific instruments and routing? For example, add a track with kontakt and have it routed to my strings buss.

I've tried using the track presets, but there doesn't seem to be a good way to easily select the preset once the browser is open. I looked into other options like the track archive, but when you give the command to import an archive, Cubase opens the directory that was last used to open or import and not necessarily the location of your archives.

Thanks in advance!

Is there no way to have a track in your session but have it be hidden and inactive?

that's how I do it in PT...

Yes, I could make some different templates. I typically start with a template that's fairly blank, consisting of folders and busses only. Then I add tracks as I go. I find that this forces me to not always go for the same sounds and it saves on load times.

The track preset option would be a nice solution if Steinberg implemented it like they do workspaces.

Thanks!

Hello!
Check these macros and tell us if they work for you.
I have also attached a macro for adding a Plug-In chain. It could be helpful.
