New DTouch for Cubase+Nuendo v1.4.9 BETA

Could you add the feature in Dtouch to Link any Generic Midi CC fader device, to the virtual Midi CC faders ? I tried using DfADER, But as i have a Midi CC X8 Fader device, it is not supported unless in Mackie mode- for the 8 faders ?

Basically i want to use my Icon Platform X (8 faders ) to have different "saved" snapshots for different instruments (I.e. Fader 1 is CC1 on Kontakt, but Maybe CC10 on a synth VST etc)

ideas for the floating mixer:

1. Send and cue Racks: I think it would be very useful if we could switch on/off the single send/cue by a long-press...without being forced to refer to the "rack mode" button every time...

This cannot be done; not with a long-press. This is what will happen if we implement it with a long-press:

• As soon as you touch on a single send/cue, DTouch will send a "Send Level Touched" message to Cubase/Nuendo.
• Then, you probably won't be able to keep your finger completely still, and so DTouch will probably send some Send Level change messages to Cubase/Nuendo.
• At this point, the timeout for detecting a long-press expires, and so DTouch realizes that it should bypass the Send. But the previous actions are history now, and cannot be undone. Especially if you are writing some automation pass.

Moreover, a long-press is a slow action which adds uncertainty about the exact time at which the bypass will be done, and can possibly slow your workflow.
What we suggest is to perform this action triggered by a keyboard modifier: for example, ALT+pressing the Send will bypass it.

2. Channels: it would be nice to have the possibility to center the mixer channels. I often have sessions of a few (6/8/10) channels and I would like to have them in the middle of the mixer and not on the left...

This could theoretically be done, but since this requires a large amount of work, we'll put this on the wishlist.

"SENDS" section : make it "larger" please… we have some space (top to bottom), and add "Power" button & "Pre/Post" button

"CUES" section : same as the sends "Larger" and "Power" button + "Pre/Post" button

Sorry, but adding more space for two touch-friendly buttons will more than double the height of each Element in the SEND / CUE Racks.
So, this is not possible.

Now that I jumped on the DTouch train and tried the new beta-version, one feature request came to my mind:

When utilizing split-view in the floating mixer, I would like to have channels that are in one mixer section (e.g. groups in the right section) to disappear from the other sections. Just like it's possible in the cubase mixer, where you can choose if a channel is in the left, middle, right or in multiple sections.

Maybe that's already possible and I just overlooked it - then please give me a hint how I can do that. Thanks.

This is not feasible with the current DTouch version, even with the Beta.
This feature could be surely implemented in a future DTouch version, but it will require a large amount of work and a large amount of thinking about the GUI to allow you to do that.
So, please, remind us of this request in a few months and we'll see what we can do!

Another idea for the DTouch toolbar (if possible) : the possibilities to "minimise" the DTouch toolbar without minimizing the other macros folder already open….

This was actually a bug that we already fixed internally.
You will find this solved in the final DTouch v1.5.0, which will be available "tomorrow"
